Deanna Roberts grew up on a tropical island, Nauru, where television, iPads, laptops and Nintendo’s were just non-existent. Deanna created ‘funny shows’ and it was in those early performance days that Deanna’s confidence grew. Deanna encountered various cultures, travelled on phosphate ships, met a variety of characters and personalities and gained further insight into human behaviour whilst assisting in the family restaurant. This shaped her own special characters and accents, performance and presentation skills and her outstanding ability to drop in and out of character at any time.
As a speaker, coach and radio presenter, Deanna holds a B.Ed & Tr., Dip. Fine Arts, studied performing arts for many years and is a master practitioner of NLP. During Deanna’s 25+ corporate years she trained presenters, was a project management leader, coached and mentored staff and discovered that confidence was a major issue for many. Deanna knew she was destined to share her expertise and mastery in presentation and platform skills and then created Speaker SportsTM combining presenter strategies with drama improvisation games adapted to bring out the best in any presenter, whether a raw beginner or one accustomed to the stage. Deanna also coaches clients one on one and has helped so many overcome challenges and achieve their objectives, including coaching and being interviewed by the internet marketing master, James Schramko.
Deanna also utilises her wealth of talent on radio 98.1 FM in Melbourne, addressing 26,000+ listeners each week. As a highly skilled interviewer, Deanna has spent many hours chatting to celebrities and business owners, including Human Nature, Tom Burlinson, Richard Clapton, Jamie Redfern, Deborah Conway, Vaughan Werner (Grandmaster of Freemasons Vic), Pamela Myer Warrander (Myer Emporium) and James Schramko … just to name a few. Deanna successfully combines entertainment, humour, education and creativity on and off the air which in turn provide you with effective strategies and lively ideas to utilise in your own presentations.
